Our Live Free or Die Black IPA is a mysteriously delicious American black IPA powered by a pale and midnight wheat grain bill. It has a satisfying big IPA bitterness while also providing an exciting blend of flavor and aroma. Deep and dark, it features a medium, smooth body that goes down easy and isn’t too filling. Aroma and taste bring out coffee, malts, grass and hops. It’s a beer that pairs well with spicy BBQ and sharp cheeses.

Only a few years after adding a solar hot water installation, the Woodstock Inn Brewery is taking a new step in going green. This month, the brewery teamed up with Australian eco-innovator BioGill to test out two wastewater bioreactors.

Daniel Moody, cellarman
Daniel, who’s from North Conway, spent two years traveling the US in his van before moving to Plymouth. Soon, he met Brewer Frank Heidenreich and the staff at The Woodstock Brewery and the rest, as they say, is history.
As part of his job as cellarman, Daniel takes the finished fermented beer and transfers it to be conditioned, filtered and carbonated; and he managed 14 taps, ensuring the beer is always flowing! Based on what he’s learned at the brewery, he created our new, brewery-only Cascade Park IPA.
You might see Daniel, who has also been a home brewer since 2013, on a tour of the brewery.
“My favorite part about brew tours is bringing people together and educating groups of strangers with enthusiasm and an engaging presentation, he says. “The prize at the end is seeing how we all connect and sharing stories by the end of the tour.”
Favorite Beer: Nitro stout and Falling Waters Double IPA
Favorite Beer/Food Pairing: Stout with French onion soup. Double IPA really compliments grilled chicken Caesar salad, he says.
When he’s not brewing, Daniel, 28, skis Loon and Cannon mountains, cross-country skis, and mountain bikes. He has two dogs – a husky and northwest farm terrier.
